Day 1 – Cuiabá → Piuval Lodge
Objective: Search for the first animal on our Top 5 list – the Giant Anteater.
* Departure from Cuiabá in the morning or afternoon.
Activities:
* 3:30 PM – Horseback riding (duration between 1 to 2 hours, depending on guest’s preference)
* 6:00 PM – Night safari by car to observe nocturnal wildlife
Day 2 – Piuval Lodge → Pouso Alegre Lodge
Activities:
* 5:00 AM – Sunrise safari by car in search of the Giant Anteater
* 8:00 AM – Ecological walk (optional)
After lunch (1:00 PM), departure from Piuval Lodge to Pouso Alegre Lodge.
Objective: Search for the second animal on our Top 5 list – the Brazilian Tapir.
Activities:
* 3:30 PM – Afternoon photographic safari
* 8:00 PM – Night safari by car
* 5:00 AM (next day) – Sunrise safari by car
* 8:00 AM – Morning walk to explore local biodiversity
Day 3 – Pouso Alegre Lodge → Porto Jofre
Activity: After lunch, we will travel to Porto Jofre, conducting a photographic safari along the Transpantaneira Road.
* Arrival at the lodge in the late afternoon
Day 4 – Porto Jofre → Full-Day Boat Trip
Objective: Search for the third and fourth animals on the Top 5 list – the Jaguar and the Giant Otter.
Activity:
* 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Full-day boat trip to maximize wildlife sightings
* Return to the lodge in Porto Jofre
Day 5 – Porto Jofre → Lodge on the Piquiri River
* 7:00 AM – Morning boat tour in search of jaguars and giant otters
* Important: Lunch will be brought along on the boat, as this is a full-day activity
* 3:00 PM – Navigation upstream on the Piquiri River to the lodge
* Check-in at the lodge on the Piquiri River
Objective: Search for the last animal of the Top 5 – the Maned Wolf
On the following day (Day 6), we will depart from the lodge after breakfast at 7:00 AM, exploring wildlife along the way with a boat tour.
Around 10:30 AM, we will return to the lodge in Porto Jofre.
Day 6 – Return to Cuiabá
Activity:
* Boat tour returning to Porto Jofre
* Lunch at Porto Jofre
* 1:00 PM – Departure for Cuiabá
* Photographic safari along the Transpantaneira Road on the way back
